The TD2 is a rear-wheel drive buggy chassis which employs front inboard suspension for slim, low-profile form, and a monocoque frame with optimum R/C equipment layout. It features a midship transverse motor and transverse battery pack positioned slightly to the rear. The sealed gearbox has a built-in ball differential to limit slip and 4-wheel independent double wishbone suspension utilizes CVA oil dampers. Turnbuckle shafts for use as upper arms facilitate camber angle adjustment. Front suspension has a skid angle of 25 degrees and angled dampers for smooth performance. Ribbed front and rear square spike tires facilitate stability and great grip. Front wheels are attached by hex hubs.
This 2WD R/C off-road assembly kit inherits its name from the 1980s Tamiya R/C rear-wheel drive model "Astute". The low-profile, sleek body is designed by Kota Nezu of znug design. The model features a driver figure in the cockpit and individual front/rear small fenders. Two types (high/low) of wing stays are included to adjust downforce. Based on a monocoque frame chassis, front ribbed and rear square spike tires are employed.
